Baked Bannock

Step 1:  Add package ingredients to bowl and then add 1/3 cup of butter, margarine, Crisco or lard depending on preference and cut up into small pieces if possible.

Step 2:  Add this to mix and stir in,

then slowly add Luke warm water about 1 – 1/3 cup while mixing with mixer or spoon until dough is not dry. 

Step 3:  Form into ball. Sometimes if I add a little too much water I will lightly powder the dough with flour and roll it around in the bowl to coat.

 Step 4:  Let sit 5-10 minutes for best results and it should rise a bit.

 Step 5:  Roll out and cut into desired pieces and place on parchment paper and cookie sheet.

Step 6:  Bake at 400 for about 19-20 minutes.
